MotoFactory Опубликовано 19 мая Опубликовано 19 мая Glen Helen’s Motofest was a four-day celebration of racing that attracted everything from vintage bike riders to off-road specialists, but the third day was circled by both privateers and team riders as the big money day. Of the $100,000 pro purse, $70,000 was to be awarded across two pro classes. In addition to those, the National track hosted Round one of the Glen Helen Summer series, and the Arroyo track had an ARX vintage race. Colt Nichols appears to be National ready. The one rider who profited most from Glen Helen’s schedule was Twisted Tea Suzuki’s Colt Nichols. After winning the Stopwatch National and Thursday, he came back to take both motos of the 450 Pro showcase on Saturday. He gated well in both motos, but was never able to escape pressure from from a gang of Yamaha riders. Brad West and Derek drake of the the Bar X Toyota of Redlands Yamaha Team took turns hounding him as well as Grant Harland of the Rock River Yamaha team. Drake ended up second over all with a 2-2 score, while Aussie Mason Semmens quietly captured third overall with a 5-5 score. Derek Drake pushed for the lead in both motos. Grant Harlan Dare Demartile is currently leading the WORCS series, but doesn’t mind devoting time to MX–and pocketing a little cash. Derek Kelly. 450 PRO SHOWCASE SHOWDOWN 1. Colt Nichols 1/1 2.
