The 2025 outdoor motocross season is in the books. Jett Lawrence and Haiden Deegan each added another championship to their young resumes to the surprise of no one. Nonetheless, the season was filled with drama created by rising stars and new dynasties. Brandon Krause was at Budds Creek to capture the images and the feel of motocross, 2025.

The Nac is back! Haiden celebrates his second outdoor championship and his fifth title in Pro racing. Seth Hammaker has all the speed he needs but can’t find the final piece of the puzzle, which might be something as simple as dumb luck. He couldn’t finish moto one at Budds Creek. Jett won nine overalls this outdoor season. It ain’t perfect, but it’s close enough. Hunter Lawrence endued the outdoor season on a positive note, splitting motos with his brother. Motocross fans can be fickle. Justin Cooper is the slow burn in the 450 class, quietly getting better with every round. He enters the Playoff season as the top 450 seed. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders spent most of the season battling amongst themselves. Haiden Deegan ended Jo Shimoda win streak by besting him in the first moto. Both riders were penalized a place in that race for passing on a red cross flag. Julien Beaumer showed speed, but clipped a rider’s rear wheel and went down hard. His crash caused a restart in the second race. George Prado’s U.S. season was disappointing to some, but he remained upbeat. The stagger-start rule was never used in outdoor motocross prior to this season. Max Vohland rode an amazing season with an injury that prevented the use of his foot brake.

 

Nate Thrasher started the season incapable of getting a good start. He turned that around.
