Combining two like-minded but completely different personalities and skill sets can literally bring things back to life. In this case, a steel-framed Yamaha YZ125 was resurrected by combining the skills of two different bike builders—Elite Moto Factory’s Tony Jeske and mXrevival’s Charles Lytle, both of whom are based out of Idaho—coming together to form MX Skill Shack for this one-off build. Tony and Charles are both amazing bike builders in their own rights, but coming together produced a build that could never have been accomplished on their own, and we are grateful for that.

1. Built for motocross applications, Dunlop’s brand-new Geomax MX34 tires are designed for soft-to-intermediate terrain featuring block-in-a-block technology for more aggressive cornering and slide control in a variety of track conditions.

2. LightSpeed Carbon, one of the original moto carbon fiber manufacturers, produced the rear chainguide and lower front fork guards on this YZ125 project. They are 100-percent hand-laid and built tough to handle loads of abuse.

3. Hygge Performance two-stroke cone exhaust pipes are 100-percent handcrafted in Canada and made in small batches to increase overall performance. It was combined with a Pro Circuit Factory sound silencer.

4. Pryme MX frame protection is constructed of a thick vinyl material with a strong adhesive back made from a sandpaper-type material that will improve grip without damaging the boots or riding gear.

5. Dubya USA laced up a set of red Excel Takasago rims to a set of rebuilt hubs coated grey to match the rest of the build theme perfectly.

6. Fastway Evolution 4 footpegs are precision engineered, and feature patented height, traction and camber
adjustability.

7. Phoenix 118 handlebars feature a tapered design, laser-etched cut lines, 57mm sweep, and we installed the 50/50 all-black half-waffle grip for some additional rider comfort.

Tony and Charles worked with designers at Decal Works to come up with a completely custom graphics set that gave this YZ125 a clean factory look that captures the late-’90s vibe but also added some modern-day attitude.
PBS_MXSkillShack_Caption4_e-scaled.jpgBolt Manufacturing makes a variety of bolt kits that replace the OEM hardware and comes complete with colored, drilled washers and spacers for that extra touch of detail. PBS_MXSkillShack_Caption2_e-scaled.jpgWorks Connection’s 1-2-3 EZ Build Elite clutch perch features a CNC-machined, aerospace-grade 6061 T-6 construction with on-the-fly adjustability that’s available in multiple color options and combinations, allowing you to customize almost every aspect of your build. PBS_MXSkillShack_Caption3_e-scaled.jpgBrandon and the crew at AHM Factory Services handled all of the suspension needs on this project with a complete internal rebuild, custom valving and specialty coatings throughout that really transformed the overall look.
