WORCS WHITE-OUT IN NORTHERN NEVADA

A little snow only added to the drama and scenery of the Biggest Little City Grand Prix, round 4 of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS Racing series. Racers took on the fluctuating weather at Stead MX in Northern Nevada, with ripping winds on Saturday, and then a snowstorm on Sunday keeping racers on their toes.

Mason Semmens charged to the Pro 450 victory on the tricky track at Stead MX.

It was Mason Semmens of the FMF RPM KTM team that bested the conditions and the four-mile course to take the big win in the Pro 450 class. The Australian outran Liquimoly Beta USA’s Dare Demartile and SLR Honda’s Tyler Lynn to top the two hour battle. In the Pro 250 class it was another FMF RPM KTM rider, Cole Zeller, who came away victorious. Zeller battled with SLR Honda’s Sam Prescherer for the point, and their championship battle remains tight. Dustyn Davis rounded out the Pro 250 podium, and also went on to top the Open Pro event on Sunday.

In the Women Pro division, Tarah Gieger made a last-minute decision to make the drive to Reno and line up for the race. She was able to top Lauren Woods and Rachel Burton to take the win.

Beta’s Dare Demartile carded a second-place finish in Pro 450. Sam Pretscherer (87) and Cole Zeller swapped the lead several times but Pretscherer had to settle for second. SLR Honda’s Tyler Lynn rounded out the Pro 450 podium. The Pro 250 field gets out to a snowy start.
